This blog used to be a report from my 1 year long US adventure. So if you're interested in information about the exchange program, please scroll down to the archive and pick the time period September 08 - May 09. I might upload some post to sum up my wonderful experience (and I really want to finish the NYC story, some day), so, if you want more, stay tuned!

Back home. Culture shock again.

After quite a long period of time, there are couple things I need to get used to again. The distances! I decided to keep my running habit even when back home (nobody runs in here), so after the cat woke me up by punching my face at 4am, and because of a slight jet lag I wasn't able to get back to sleep, I went running. I expected that a run to a next village would be enough for 40 minutes, but. It wasn't. I was back in less than 15. Which means that the distance between 2 villages in here is equal to 12 blocks in Manhattan, Kansas. Ridiculous!

Feels good to be at home again.

P.S.: I'll try to keep updating this blog from time to time, for my evidence, for staying in touch with English language. And eventually I might finish the NYC story!

Hello Goodbye.

Was good, I'm full now but want some more.

My American adventure is coming to an end, last couple hours in Manhattan left. I'm kinda happy, kinda sad. Trying to fit all my stuff in one suitcase and one backpack (and one carry-on). Trying to sell the furniture we got with my roommates (goes pretty well!). Finally got a K-State T-Shirt. Actually three of them. Donated a BIG book to the library (can't take with me!). Returned my great green bike. Said goodbye to Liz and Howard, great people.

What's left? Wash the dishes, clean up this place which has been my home since August 2008. Pack. And hang out with my friends! And, well, that's it!

Final video

It might be too short for a final turn in, but. I am happy with the work I've done so far, even though I am pretty sure I could have been working much harder and produced something really cool and awesome. But I like my short and simple one. Enjoy.

Almost there

As you may have or may have not noticed, I gave up on writing about the great NYC trip which happened more than a month ago. Instead I'm gonna spend couple minutes describing boring general stuff, while waiting for my video to be rendered.

AAArgh, I'm having the time of my life here! I enjoy things happening in Manhattan (oh yes, believe or not, there is actually something happening here in the middle of America) more and more. I guess it's because all is gonna be over sooner than I would like it to be. And maybe because the studio is over as well. And the weather is nice. And birds sing. And all that kind of romantic stuff.

This is my advice for those lucky ones, who are coming next semester: Don't worry, it's gonna be awesome. But don't be that excited, you'll never have such great experience as I am having right now, because all those great people I was lucky to meet are graduating next week and they will be gone. I wish you meet some other great people who will show you what Midwest is all about. Good luck!

To summarize this really redundant post: I am alive and happy. And now back to the video. I'll post it as soon as it's done, promise.
